Owen MacDonald photography

Owen MacDonald is a 20-year-old nature photographer from Northern BC. Having lived in northern BC all his life he has gotten to experience the vast natural landscape and enjoyed all of it. Owen Started photography when he was 13 years old with an old camera he found in his basement. He immediately fell in love with taking pictures and decided to pursue it further. He worked 2 different jobs, one in the hay fields and a one in a lumber yard all summer long in the hot heat to make enough money to buy his first official camera. He then was approached to be his high school’s yearbook photographer. Owen really got serious about photography when he was contacted by London drugs in Prince George, and they asked him if he would like to be one of their local inspiration artists and have his work displayed in their store for several months. Since then, Owen has been working as a fire fighter during the summers to getting to experience the vast landscapes that BC has to offer. But northern BC is his favorite place to take pictures with the mountains and untouched forests. Owens Favorite thing about Photography is that it makes you look at life different and through different angles on what would make the best Shot possible for any given situation. If you would like to see more of Owen’s work check out his website owenmacphotography.com or check out some of his post cards at books and company in downtown Prince George.
